Sign of the Times is designed so that your data stays yours.

What the app stores

Your signature images, measurements, and reads are stored only on your device. We operate no accounts and no cloud database of your reads. Deleting a read in the app (or deleting the app) removes it permanently.

What is sent during analysis

When you request a read, the app sends the signature image and its measurements over an encrypted connection to our analysis service, which forwards them to Anthropic's Claude API to compose the read. We do not store your image or read on our servers. Anthropic processes API inputs under its privacy policy and does not train models on this API data by default; as of this writing API inputs may be retained by Anthropic for a limited period for trust-and-safety purposes.

Identifiers

The app sends a random installation identifier with each analysis request, used solely to enforce fair-use rate limits. It is not linked to your name, email, or any account, and we do not use it for tracking or advertising.

Purchases

In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details.

Children

Sign of the Times is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
